We have added the partial evaluation in this challenge, which means now you will score will be computed only on 50% of test data during the challenge.
It will be visible on Public Leaderboard of the challenge.
Once the challenge is over, you will see the total accuracy score on the Private Leadearboard.
So please note, your scores may wary in Public and Private leaderboard.

ABOUT THE CHALLENGE:

This challenge is organized by Society for Data Science, BIT Mesra as a part of their Data Science Summit'22. In order to be eligible for the challenge, please ensure:

you have registered as a team of (min 1 and max 3).

1st Rank: INR 5000
2nd Rank: INR 3000
3rd Rank: INR 2000
All the participants must submit their notebooks/code and the final results/leaderboard will be released after looking into the code.
The top 3 winners will be decided after Round 2 where the top 10 participants from the private leaderboard will be asked to share their solution approach (in a presentation file) and the code of their Machine Learning model that reflects the final results on the leaderboard. The winners will be decided based on -
- Algorithm and ML Approach
- Statistical Analysis
- Real-world Outcomes

In order to make submissions, please follow the below instructions

Register for the challenge, and create your team here. Only one person from a team must create a team and your team.
Once you create the team, you can invite the rest of your team members.
You will be able to see a submit button where you submit your prediction files and notebooks.

PROBLEM STATEMENT:

This Machine Learning Challenge requires participants to create predictive models to predict the stage of liver Cirrhosis using 18 clinical features. Cirrhosis damages the liver from a variety of causes leading to scarring and liver failure.

Hepatitis and chronic alcohol abuse are frequent causes of the disease. Liver damage caused by cirrhosis can't be undone, but further damage can be limited. Treatments focus on the underlying cause. In advanced cases, a liver transplant may be required. Predicting the stage of cirrhosis and beginning the treatment before it's too late can prevent the fatal consequences of the disease.

ABOUT DATASET:

Train Dataset - It consists of total 6801 datapoints.
Test Dataset - You must predict the stage of cirrhosis of 3201 datapoints.

EVALUATION:

Submissions are evaluated using Weighted F1 Score.

How do we do it?

We give participants two sets of data:
- Training Dataset: It contains both independent and dependent variables. Anyone can download it, build a model and make a submission.
- Testing Dataset: It contains only independent variables (the dependent variables are hidden). You submit the prediction values of the dependent variables for this dataset and we compare it against the actual values.
